WebOct 28, 2008 · Culra bothy in the Central highlands is "our bothy" - at the foot of Ben Alder, southwest of Dalwhinnie on the route through to Corrour. It's a busy and important bothy. The building needs some maintenance - mainly painting to protect the wood. Two members have installed gutters and done some woodwork repairs already. WebApr 25, 2010 · The bothy is smaller than most I have stayed in previously but is well equipped with a fire (which we do not feel the need to press into action), basic furniture and two large raised sleeping platforms, onto each of which up to half a dozen people could probably squeeze if necessary. Just before meeting the third gate-house, turn right uphill and continue to the highest point on the track and Culra Bothy can be seen ahead in the far distance.
